Note
In mid-June of 2005 the United States capitulated over the appointment of Egyptian Mohamed ElBaradei to a third term as Director General of the IAEA. The appointment lasts until November 2009. ElBaradei had interfered in the 2004 U.S. election, artificially timing an announcement to produce maximum criticism of the Bush administration. During his term as Director General, India, Pakistan, and North Korea acquired nuclear weapons. Now he seeks to ensure that Iran achieves the same objectives. It was obvious that ElBaradei, once renewed, would follow this path and become a serious impediment to non-proliferation at a crucial time and yet the administration refused to just say 'no.' When will we ever learn?
