EYEontheUN is dedicated to making transparent the UN's record on its fundamental promise - to identify, condemn, and protect against human rights violations and confront and respond to threats to international peace and security.
By making the appalling record of the UN easily visible to viewers for the first time, EYEontheUN will provide an information base for the re-evaluation of priorities and directions for modern-day democratic societies.

In 2001, the first UN Conference Against Racism, held in Durban, South Africa and ending only 3 days before 9/11 was a global platform for antisemitism and the demonization of Israel.
Plans for Durban II, to be held in the first-half of 2009, are well underway. The planning committee has a Libyan Chair, an Iranian Vice-Chair, and a Cuban Rapporteur. Already, their statements captured on video make their plans clear:
| use the pretense of combating racism to limit freedom of expression; | | thwart efforts to end terrorism; | | allege that Islamophobia is the most serious form of racism today in order to cast Muslims as victims and never perpetrators; | | redefine antisemitism as victimizing Arabs and Muslims so there are no Jewish victims; and | | demonize the state of Israel. | | | | In its very short history, the Human Rights Council has become a UN nightmare. An institution worse than the Commission it replaced. A forum for defeating, instead of promoting, human rights. The videos capture the absurdity of this "human rights" institution where:
