Human Rights Voices

While the UN devotes its human rights operations to the demonization of the democratic state of Israel above all others and condemns the United States more often than the vast majority of non-democracies around the world, the voices of real victims around the world must be heard.

Three Wounded In Suspected Terrorist Stabbing In Rishon Lezion

A suspected terrorist stabbed and wounded three Israelis in Rishon Lezion Monday afternoon in what appeared to be a rampaging attack on Herzl Street in the city.

Police said that an initial investigation suggests the incident was a terror attack in which the assailant moved from one site to another as he sought additional victims.

Police apprehended the suspected terrorist who was undergoing questioning.

An approximately 35-year-old man and an elderly woman were both moderately-to-seriously hurt, while an approximately 26-year-old man was lightly wounded.

The injured were transported to Assaf Harofeh Medical Center at Tzrifin.

MDA paramedics described finding the victims at separate locations along the street, suggesting that the suspected terrorist moved up the street from one victim to another.

MDA medic Yoni Ohayon said that he saw an approximately 80-year-old woman on Herzl Street in Rishon Lezion, near a bakery, lying on the sidewalk. She was suffering from a stab wound to her upper body.

MDA Paramedic Nir Babai said that he encountered the 26-year-old victim sitting on the sidewalk, suffering from a stab wound to his leg.

MDA Medic Moshe Pinto and paramedic Efi Bar said that they "were led to an approximately 35-year-old man who was lying in a bus with a stab wound to his upper body."

The MDA personnel said that the man described to them that he had noticed a disturbance in the bus when he suddenly felt a blow to his back.
