A rocket hits Sderot.

"Hours after rocket salvos fired from Gaza scored direct hits on two buildings in Sderot, Mayor Alon Davidi urged the government to launch an offensive in Gaza. 'The rockets are designed to murder children'...Davidi's remarks followed a barrage of 13 rockets that pounded Israel's southern communities early Thursday. Overnight and in the early morning hours, six rockets hit the city of Sderot alone. Three rockets hit houses in the city... At around 8:30 in the morning, the early warning alarm sounded in Sderot followed by a salvo of three rockets. One of the rockets penetrated the wall of the second story of a building. On the first floor of the same building, a day care teacher and five infants in her care scrambled to the nearest protected area, narrowly evading tragedy. More than 30 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours..."

John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State

Only a few hours after the body of Muhammad Hussein Abu Khdeir was found in a Jerusalem forest, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry condemned "in the strongest possible terms" his kidnapping and murder.

On the other hand, he waited 3 days after Gil-Ad Shaer, Naftali Frenkel, and Eyal Yifrah were kidnapped to "strongly condemn" it, while adding the caveat that he had no idea if Palestinians were to blame: "We are still seeking details on the parties responsible for this despicable terrorist act."

While the circumstances of Abu Khudair's murder continue to be investigated, here is what we already know.

We know that Israel is a democratic society governed by the rule of law, and as with murders across the Western world, it will be properly investigated and prosecuted.

We know that Israeli Jewish mothers will not be handing out candy for their killer sons or hoping that they're the ones to blame.

We know that the government of Israel won't name public places after the killer's name, if indeed he is found to be a Jewish Israeli.

We know that the Israeli press won't proudly display images portraying dead Palestinians as dangling rats.

We know that Israeli children will not smile into cameras and hold up one finger for one dead Palestinian.

And we also know, that the UN and the Obama administration - which waited and equivocated and injected moral relativism into a fictional cycle of violence when it came to Jewish children - will seek to tarnish all of Israel, regardless of the facts.

Update: Israeli police have arrested six Jews in connection with the death of Mohammed Abu Khudair.

Navi Pillay, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

The viciously anti-Israel UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, has issued an obscene response to the murder of the kidnapped Israeli teens. A month from retirement, Pillay could not resist one more venomous retort to Israel's attempt to protect its citizens from Palestinian terror.

Even in death she refused to say the three boys had been kidnapped, or that they had been taken by Palestinian terrorists. In the words of her office, they "had gone missing."

After the perfunctory "condolences," she launched into demands that Israel exercise restraint and "prevent the situation of worsening." She analogized the death of the three boys to Palestinians killed as Israel strove to save lives - not to take them.

Here is her despicable moral relativism - modern antisemitism - that at the UN goes by the name of human rights.

"OHCHR called on all Israelis and Palestinians to exercise maximum restraint and to prevent the situation from worsening further. The previous night, a Palestinian teenager had been killed by Israeli forces in the north West Bank, bringing to seven the number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including three teenagers, since 12 June. OHCHR's condolences went to all of their families. Also, the previous night, at least six Palestinians had been injured by Israeli forces in the West Bank. OHCHR had also noted an increase in rocket fire from the Gaza Strip and air and sea strikes by Israeli forces in Gaza, additional movement restrictions and incidents of settler violence in the West Bank...OHCHR reiterated its call for strict adherence to international law by all relevant actors, to avoid further loss of life, injuries and negative impact on human rights. OHCHR urged all parties to refrain from punishing individuals for offences they had not personally committed or by imposing collective penalties."

Site where missing teens found

"The three Israeli teenagers kidnapped several weeks ago by Hamas have been found dead in the Palestinian area of Hebron, where Israeli forces are currently raiding Palestinian homes, according to Israeli military sources. The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed late Monday during a press briefing that the bodies had been discovered. Hamas operatives near Jerusalem were identified by Israeli intelligence sources as being responsible for the kidnapping. The kidnapping and ongoing barrage of terrorist rocket attacks on Israel by the terror group Hamas have called into question the Obama administration's support for a recently inked unity deal that brought Hamas into the Palestinian governing fold, according to regional exerts, who indicated that the unity coalition may already be collapsing. Hamas bombarded Israeli citizens over the weekend with some 20 rockets, bringing the total number of rockets fired since June 15 to more than 50. This is the first time Hamas has publicly claimed responsibility for the attacks since 2012. The attacks are meant to send a clear message to the Israelis as well as Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah Party that Hamas will not back down from violence or be controlled by government bureaucrats, according to experts. The attacks have also called into question the Obama administration State Department's decision to financially support and work with the unity government and Hamas, which vowed to continue its violent campaign to destroy the Jewish state..."
