A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli settlers in the southern Mount Hebron area of the West Bank on Wednesday afternoon, after which the settler opened fire on the terrorist and amanged to kill him.
The terrorist infiltrated the Mor Farm outpost near the settlement Teneh Omarim, where he stabbed and lightly wounded a settler, at his home and in front of his children.
A preliminary investigation found that the terrorist entered the farm, and that after the settler heard noises coming from the outside, he exited his house and noticed the terrorist holding two knives. The settler then ran home to retrieve a gun, with the terrorist in hot pursuit. Both men reached the settler's home, where the terrorist proceeded to stab him before his wife and children. The settler then shot and killed the terrorist.
Residents of Teneh Omarim were told to stay indoors, as searches for a possible second terrorist are being carried out.

Police in Berlin are investigating a possible link between a series of 'acid' attacks in the German capital, in which women had corrosive liquid sprayed into their faces by cyclists.
Last Monday, a woman was victim of such an attack in the fifth incident of this kind in the capital since December.
The 27-year-old woman was strolling down a street in Friedrichshain, a nightlife district east of the city centre, when an unidentified cyclist approached her and sprayed a liquid in her face.
The exact nature of the liquid, which had splashed on nearby cars during the attack, is not known but the firefighters who neutralized it suspect it was acid according to Die Welt.
The victim, who was rushed to hospital to be treated for serious damage to her eyes, simply described her attacker as 'wearing dark clothes,' police said in a statement.
In January 2017, another woman who was walking home at night was sprayed in the face by a cyclist in Prenzlauer Berg, a few kilometers north of Friedrichshain. She, too, was 27.
And in December, three women were attacked with a skin-irritating liquid in the neighborhoods of Prenzlauer Berg, Weissensee and Charlottenburg.
In one of these attacks, the substance was found to be battery acid. In a second case, investigators found the substance was water which had been squirted from a water gun.

A Palestinian stabbed and lightly wounded a resident of the southern West Bank settlement outpost of Havat Mor inside his home on Wednesday, the army said.
The Israeli man drew his gun and shot the terrorist, who was pronounced dead on the scene by a local doctor, a spokesperson for the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.
The Palestinian man had broken into the West Bank outpost in the Hebron Hills, the army said.
Israeli troops and Magen David Adom ambulances were called to the scene.
The victim, 33, suffered stab wounds to the limbs, Magen David Adom said. He was described as lightly injured. "When we arrived at the scene we saw the victim, fully conscious and walking around. We gave him medical treatment, including bandaging. He was in stable condition," a medic said.
On Tuesday, police set up roadblocks and closed streets for several hours in response to suspicions of an unspecified "security incident" in the Beersheba-Rahat area, several kilometers south of the scene of Wednesday's attack.
They lifted the precautions Tuesday night.
Israeli security officials have noted a marked drop in attacks in the last several months, following a several-month wave of violence starting in October 2015.
However, sporadic attacks have persisted.
Last month, at least five people were lightly wounded when a Palestinian man opened fire at a bus and stabbed a person near an outdoor market in the central Israeli city of Petah Tikva.
Since October 2015, 40 Israelis, two Americans, a Palestinian and an Eritrean national have been killed in stabbing, car-ramming and shooting attacks.
According to AFP figures, some 250 Palestinians, a Jordanian and a Sudanese migrant have also been killed, most of them in the course of carrying out attacks, Israel says, and many of the others in clashes with troops in the West Bank and at the Gaza border, as well as in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
