UN Human Rights Chief Justifies Palestinian Terror

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Raad Al Hussein (File Photo)
As Palestinians shoot and stab Jews to deaths on the streets of Israel, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Jordanian Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, justified the attacks as the result of Palestinian "frustration." The High Commissioner was delivering his annual report on the period from December 2014 to November 2015 at the UN "Human Rights" Council session on March 10, 2016. He referred to the Palestinian terror spree as a mere "escalation of violence" and spoke about the violations of human rights of Palestinians - not Israelis.

In his words: "Over the past five decades, people in Palestine have endured not only occupation, but also multiple, overlapping human rights violations. The recent escalation of violence in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and in parts of Israel, which has led to the deaths of dozens of Palestinians and many Israelis, should remind us that only justice can build a real and sustainable peace... The root causes of this violence also cannot be ignored. The frustration and despair of Palestinians arises from the prolonged occupation; ongoing settlement expansion and settler violence; the blockade of Gaza; and failure to ensure accountability."
