UN Human Rights Council member Kuwait speaks at UN against gender equality

On December 18, 2014 the UN General Assembly adopted the annual resolution on the 2014 "Report of the Human Rights Council." During the proceedings, Human Rights Council member Kuwait - where women must have a male guardian in order to marry - had "reservations regarding a resolution" on gender equality adopted by the Council in 2014. Why? Because it wasn't "taking into account religious and cultural issues."
